Sorting Order: Shorter Length First
I. Description:
A base form has shorter length should be on the top of the sorting order.
II. Example
Hemosporidium
is chosen over Haemosporidium
as the citation form because its length is shorter. Two other examples with new citation forms with shorter length are shown in the following table:
2013- | 2014+ |
---|---|
{base=Haemosporidium spelling_variant=Hemosporidium entry=E0002981 cat=noun variants=glreg } |
{base=Hemosporidium spelling_variant=Haemosporidium entry=E0002981 cat=noun variants=glreg } |
{base=Ames test spelling_variant=Amestest entry=E0000355 cat=noun variants=sing } |
{base=Amestest spelling_variant=Ames test entry=E0000355 cat=noun variants=sing } |
{base=abscess spelling_variant=abcess entry=E0006577 cat=noun variants=reg variants=uncount } |
{base=abcess spelling_variant=abscess entry=E0006577 cat=noun variants=reg variants=uncount } |
III. Impacts (on Norm)

haemosporidium
hemosporidium
Amestest
